A young woman is lying in bed, reading a book when her husband comes into the room. He asks how she is doing and she responds that she's reading a book. He asks if she's enjoying it and she says that she is. He then asks if she's been writing in it and she says that she has. He invites her to show him and she hands him the book, telling him that she wrote in it every day for a year.

He begins to read the entries and they are all about her love for him. As he reads, his expression becomes softer and softer, until he finally hands the book back to her and tells her that she is the most beautiful woman in the world. He then asks her to marry him and she accepts.
