Wicked

As the curtain rises on the action, we see the titular Wicked Witch of the West, played with venomous fury by Michelle Williams, closely observing her young charge, the beautiful and innocent Elphaba. With a look of malice in her eye, the Wicked Witch directs her attention to the Pink Witch, played by Eva Green, who seems to be working on a new spell.

The scene progresses as the other witches begin to gather around the two women. The Witch of the East, played by Lucy Liu, starts to taunt Elphaba, taunting her about her lack of strength and power. The Witch of the South, played by Anne Hathaway, starts to chant, invoking the powers of the elements.

Meanwhile, Elphaba continues to observe the scene, seemingly clueless to the danger that she is in. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake, and a powerful gust of wind begins to whip around the witches. The Witch of the North, played by Cynthia Nixon, is the first to fall, crashing to the ground hard.

The other witches start to panic, and Elphaba quickly realizes what is happening. She starts to run, but is quickly surrounded by the Witch of the West, the Wicked Witch of the East, and the Witch of the South. The Witch of the North pulls out a knife, and prepares to stab Elphaba in the heart.
